I'm guessing that's the expansion connector the LED driver board will connect to when it's released. It might not be functional right now.

Edit: I seem to remember reading somewhere a Pro-Shift was to be integrated into it, though I'm not sure whether that actually happened.

I might be wrong,  but my guess is that it's for adding the "four buttons that can be connected to the board".

The reason I say that,  is because there is a new firmware for the progauge that shows that function as the change.

There is an alternative firmware for the Pro Shift controller, which makes use of the four buttons that can be connected to the board. If you download and install the new firmware the Pro Swift, as well as the usual functions, will also be detected as a USB Game Controller with 4 buttons, which can be configured in the simulator. The new firmware requires SimDash 1.3.5 or later. The original firmware will work with any version of SimDash

edit , i tried rfactor and race07, my pro gauge is ok

but if I launch nfs shift 2 nothing happen.
i tried windowed mode and simdash 2.0 shows:
- shift2 is running (good)
- but in DATA i see  gear 5 ( and nothing else, other gears doens't works) and all other  are at 0 ( bad)

any idea , my shift 2 is modded (tyre mode and no intro)is it a problem?

Hello.
Support of NFS is very weak and fragile.
Because NFS doesn't have a proper SDK that allows external applications to extract data, I have used some hacks and workarounds to make it work.

but it only work with a specific patch of the game and if you have mods installed it stops working. or if the game is in another language.
