Pro shift leds
« on: July 26, 2011, 07:56:32 pm »
Recieved my pro shift and leds today, i couldnt wait for the jumper cables so i soldered tails onto the leds myself.
The problem i have is that any led connected and configured through sim dash ( limiter for example ) gives one brief flash the nothing.
I can only assume the voltage is incorrect but i thought the leds supplied should be  "plug n play".

Have i done something wrong or have i been unlucky and recieved a dodgy batch

Any advice/help is most welcome......

Just in case, make sure that the value is set to below or above a set value for the led to be constantly working while the condition is met. Leaving it at equal will only turn the led when the value is that one.

Even with a condition that is either on or off and the light brightness at 25% the leds seem to be blowing!!!!
Ill wait for the jumper cables before moaning some more...

Hi.
as quick test: when you connect the Pro Shift  to the computer, start SimDash and open the Pro Shift configuration screen, all the LEDs will turn on.

The LEDs are very bright. usually I leave the brightness set to around 5%.

as it turns out ive managed to blow 4 green, 1 red and one yellow led. My advice.... make sure you order the proper jumper leads at the same time you order the Pro Shift. It makes life so much easier..

Cheers guys
