« on: July 14, 2012, 11:51:33 pm »
Hi

when i have the pro shift on, i can't use my csr since the pedals do not work (the acceleration pedal is fully engaged and i can't disengaged it), when the pro shift is off i can use my pedals...

thanks for your help :)

the pro shift is acting like a joystick and prevent my csr elite from working, i don't know how it's possible but i didn't have this problem when i was only having the rev burner or the gi max gear...

Hi.
Are you actually using the 4 switches of the Pro Shift?
Because if you don't use them you can use the default firmware of the Pro Shift, which doesn't make it show as a joystick.

the firmwares for the Pro Shift are available from the website:

Hi Christiano, thanks for answering, so if i understand correctly, there's no way i can use the 4 buttons with my csr elite pedals ?

edit :

by the way i bought the pro shift here with a g25 plate : http://simracinghardware.com/

the thing is i don't see what i can do to have the whole g25 plate (4buttons + rev lights) work with the csr elite pedals

everything seems ok to me

There is a firmware upgrade for the Pro Shift that should fix the problem you have.
The firmware upgrade will be supported by next version of SImDash but if you want you can have it now, so you can start testing it.

I also have the same problem. I use the Logitech Driving Force GT, CSR Elite Pedals and Pro Shift. Basically most of the games support up to two controllers. What happens is that each of them are recognized as separate controllers in the game. The reason the CSR E is not being recognized in game is because that is the third controller connected to your PC. One way I have found around it is basically plug the Pro Shift after starting the game, making sure that the pedals are recognized before. The LEDs would still be working, but the four buttons would not be functioning. Games like IRacing should not have this problem as they can support up to four separate controllers.

Hi.
I am afraid I can't do anything if the simulator has a limit of only two game devices.
If you can't use the buttons of the PRo Shift, maybe it is better if you use the PRo Shift firmware that doesn't handle the buttons, so the Pro Shift is not seen as a game controller and you don't have to unplug/plug in when you start the simulator

I think the best way to deal with this is to uninstall the Pro Shift and reinstall it again with the steering wheel and pedals connected. That way the PC will always pick it as the third controller. I forgot how to do that thing.

Ok, I know a long time has passed since I posted about this, but I finally got my final setup and ended up reverting the firmware that does not recognize the buttons. While I was doing this I noticed something that might get you an idea if you can solve with some sort of firmware or software upgrade. I noticed this while playing RACE 07, which displays the controllers that are connected to it. I am sure that this is also probably the cause on rFactor.

The sim only recognizes up to four controllers. The keyboard is always registered as one of the controllers. The steering wheel is another controller. The CSR Elite (or CSP) also register as another controller. Now here come the problem. The ProShift displays as a controller, even with the firmware that does not activate the buttons. The real problem comes when I flash the firmware that enables the buttons. For some reason the game registers as if two Pro Shift were connected. As it appears with the explanation before it basically looks like this:

Keyboard
Steering Wheel
Pro Shift
Pro Shift
(Clubsport Pedals do no appear under this configuration)

Without the firmware it looks like this:

Keyboard
Steering Wheel
Pro Shift
Clubsport Pedals

I hope this could give you an idea of what is happening and if there could be a possible solution.
