It is great news to see this project progressing, we have waited a long time for this. I have plans for my dash with several gauges in it aside from my Tachometer, my rev burner I purchased from you is still working like a charm. Thank you Cristiano for your efforts.

At this point I am afraid it is too late, but that's a good point.
I wish I had thought about.

I will investigate if I can do that in the 2nd version of the board.

Thank you

Just a quick update on the state of the new controller: I have just finished the assembly of the last (I hope) prototype.
It will be tested this week and if it works I will order the boards.

I have attached a picture of how it looks like. this one has been hand soldered so it doesn't look very good.
On one side there are the USB and power supply connectors.

On the other side there are the connections for the 12V, rev counter, speedometer and 6 gauges.

Look nice  ;)
What would be the approximate price?
That means after the new year could commence sales?

Good to see this project nearing completion. Ever since the RevBurner was released I would say this has been one of the most anticipated Symprojects products.

Will the new board be able to power all connected gauges, or will we need to wire up a separate power supply(I.E. not just the wall wart that plugs into the board itself).

Slightly offtopic; I've noticed the RevBurner displayed in the shop appears to have two outputs(S1 and S2, presumably RPM and Speed). Was this an announced feature? The documentation says it's not yet functional, so I can only speculate. Is it waiting for a simdash update?

The board will power all the connected gauges with the power supply connected to the DC connector. of course if the standard power supply is not powerful enough it has to be replaced with a suitable one.
Power can also connected to the board using the 12V connector on the other side (the long row of black terminal blocks).

Regarding the S2 terminal of the existing rev burner, I have added it when I ordered a new batch of PCBs. I have't decided yet what to do with that. I am not sure it will be worth upgrading the rev burner when the new controller will be available, but I could be wrong. I will decide when the new controller is available.

Regards
Cristiano

any update on the possibility of add the pro shift function to the board.

At this point is to late to add that functionality to the board.
I have been thinking these 2 option:

- leave the board as it is and add that function to the next version.

- OR add an extra connector to the board to connect "expansion" boards with new functionalities, such as one that will drive LEDs or 12 bulbs.

A+++! for the second option.

I don't know the price yet, I am receiving quotes from manufacturers right now but it will as popular as possible.
