Just a quick update on the state of the new controller: I have just finished the assembly of the last (I hope) prototype.
It will be tested this week and if it works I will order the boards.

I have attached a picture of how it looks like. this one has been hand soldered so it doesn't look very good.
On one side there are the USB and power supply connectors.

On the other side there are the connections for the 12V, rev counter, speedometer and 6 gauges.

Hi Cristiano,
why you don't use mini or micro usb instead normal BIG USB?

I don't know why I didn't think of using a smaller USB connector.
The bigger connector is cheaper and space wasn't a problem so I thought it was fine.

But next version will have a mini usb connector.

I think the larger USB is better, just because with the mini usb the cables are all short. My dash is not close enough to use the standard length mini USB and I have yet to find some linger than 4 feet in length.

I'm having problems finding gauges, what gauges are compatible with this?  Are air cores compatible?

thanks

I too would prefer the large size USB with the new revburner.

yes still waiting hoping to make a purchase of this board and the pro-race, but that also means another dashboard upgrade, thinking about a custom fiberglass dash.

I am trying very hard to finish by the end of April.
If I can't implement every single functionality in the software I will leave it for a future upgrade.

Testing a controller board and writing custom software takes time to get it done and done correctly, I'm pretty sure that when the board is available you will be impressed.

I am very close to complete the software and I think the controller will be available at the end of the month.

Maybe the documentation will be a bit basic at the beginning, but should be good enough to get people started

Well, I know I was pretty harsh back then, but when you spend some hefty cash on the gauges you get a little bent when you can't run them. I know not his fault, and I now feel bad about it. But all I can say is I'm liking what I'm seeing and so far it's awesome! More info soon!!!
